My heart is a wild one.
It rumbles through forests floored with thick roots
from trees who’ve lived through many ways and much peace.
It takes flight and soars above the clouds,
collecting pieces of meteorite from space and bacteria from the rich earth.
And its descent includes periods of falling and diving,
grasping onto air and gasping out of air.
It then chooses to submerge under dirt, molten rock, and underground water;
creating a path through the darkness and heat.
My heart is a wild one, you see.
It beats to the drums of the moment.
