There is a thought that entertains me. The one where society expects a person to shed all identity besides the one of hugging themselves as a mother.

Yes, mothers are known to sacrifice any and all for their child. This is done out of love.

But when society expects that a mother should hold no other values or rights, besides the ones that come with parenthood, the evolution of human fails.

Do not think that it is acceptable for one to drop everything because they are now a mother. They still have an identity outside of it. That, of anything else they have been and wish to be.
