When we learn about certain “cruel” behaviours of animals, we are typically appalled, because we have the tendency to focus on the cute things about them. Like how ants have two stomachs: one to feed themselves, and one to feed others. Or how penguins risk their lives dying in the heat to incubate their eggs.
If we have this habit of focusing on the good things about animals, why do we focus on the bad things within our own human race?
Yes, there are a lot of bad things happening in the world. There always has been, and there probably always will be.
But the feels we feel when feeling sad create more negative feels with grave intensity.
My proposition is to think about all the cute things we do; we need more smiles and cuddles.
